WFSC Sailing Club Manager User Guide
Sailing Club Manager (SCM) is a simple to use application designed to reduce the amount of manual work involved in running a sailing club. At WFSC, we have adapted SCM to meet our specific club needs for sailing, SUP and Social activities and events. This guide provides a very high level view of the system and what you can do with it as a user. There is a separate administrators guide being developed.
Getting Started with SCM
Create an Account
You can create your own login ID using this link at the top of the page - "Join".
Top Tip: Set you mail preferences to suit your needs, when prompted.
Log On
The Login button is in the main menu at the top of the page.
When logged in there is an additional, Portal, menu to the right hand side.
Top Tip: The menu contains all of the important WFSC guides, rules and information.
What's in the Box?
Calendar (Main Menu)
A link to the club Calendar is located in the main menu. Keep an eye on this for upcoming events as well as changes to the itinerary (sailing is often weather dependent!)
Book Online (Main Menu)
Events may have an option to book. You can book and pay (for most things) using Go Cardless, the club's preferred method of electronic payment. For users that don't have membership there is a PayPal option.
My Duties (Member's Portal)
Everyone is asked to perform 3 duties a year. Don't panic! There are plenty of options that don't require specific knowledge or qualifications, and those duties are a great way to learn what's needed as they are shadowing either the Safety Boat Driver or Officer of the Day. There are also lots of social events with which to get involved as well as the sailing activities.
Member Directory (Member's Portal)
My memory is awful, but the Members Directory provides info about the names and faces around the club.
Duty Roster (Member's Portal)
A bit like My Duties but covering every event. Use this to find out who is on duty, you can contact them by clicking their name.
My ...... (Member's Portal)
There are several "My ...." sections and this is where you can store your own information, your boat details, berths etc. This is also where you can find My Messages.
Bookings and Allocations (Member's Portal)
A list of your bookings (tickets for social events, club boats etc.)
Membership (Member's Portal)
Find details of your current membership.
Top Tip: When you join, make sure we've got the right details! You can update your own profile, but to add family members or make other membership type changes, contact the Commodore, or any of the club officials.
Go Cardless Setup (Member's Portal)
Go Cardless is a commercial and very popular, secure and safe way to link your bank account to the club's account for electronic payments. Use this page to set up your account and also to review your payments made to the club. You can also cancel Go Cardless from this page.

This is your starting point as a new joiner. Download and read the Induction Information, just four pages but packed with really useful information, designed to get you active and on the water with WFSC.
