Junior & Youth Section
Welcome to our Winsford Flash Junior and Youth section. Click the link below for more information about what we do at Winsford Flash Sailing Club, and keep an eye on the new, training and calendar sections of this web site. There is always something going on!
We have a thriving junior section and offer a sailing experience that is inclusive, safe and lots of fun. Our aim is to build the skills of our sailors over time at their own pace and create a life long love of sailing. The majority of our junior sailors go on to join our Sunday racing and become part of our race team. Our race team is very successful, and we have one of the largest in the Northwest that travels all over the country. Whether you want to be the next national champion, dinghy instructor, race coach or to use your skills to just enjoy being outdoors, active and on the water we can provide your child with you the skills and knowledge to achieve any of the above. We have an active social calendar that goes all year round and by joining our junior section your child will have the opportunity make new friendships and become part of our section. We are a volunteer led club and our volunteer team of instructors and coaches are passionate about their sport passing on their knowledge and enthusiasm to create the next generation of sailors. We provide many opportunities for parents to get involved, and we will support parents who are not from a sailing background with advice and guidance to help them support their child with their sailing.
As a club we recognise the importance of our young sailors being the future of our sport, they are encouraged to get involved in all parts of club life from racing, social activities, committees, duties etc. As a club we are very proud of our young sailors and they are warmly welcomed as a valuable part of our Winsford sailing community.

Our juniors progress through the fleets as they build their knowledge and skills. Through the winter we have social and theoretical training evenings to ensure our juniors do not lose touch with each other or the club.
